A sacred stone
The mystery that gave our wine its name
In 2010, during the construction of our winery, a strange stone approximately 2 meters in diameter with two perfect orifices was discovered. Identified today as a probable "piedra tacita," a sacred stone of the Amerindian peoples.
Possibly an altar dedicated to ancestral rites with meanings still poorly understood today, we like to perpetuate the myth that this stone gives a special strength and pulse to this place.
The "piedras tacitas" have been recognized and re-signified by various indigenous peoples of Chile who today are mobilizing to recognize the cultural and spiritual value of these sacred objects rooted in the territory, the land, and biodiversity.
